Have you ever stood before a painting, captivated by its visual intensity yet completely mystified by its meaning?
That’s the unique effect abstract art often has on us. The essence of abstraction is to invite engagement and spark the imagination. Rather than offering a clear narrative, abstract art aims to evoke an emotional and intangible experience, one that is deeply personal and varies from person to person, influenced by their personality and state of mind.

Akash: The Series on Space

In my series Akash, I delve into the concept of space, exploring its vastness and the ever-changing nature of forms within it. Inspired by the sky "Akash" as it is called in Sanskrit—these work seeks to represent the ethereal quality of space and the invisible energy that flows through it. The interplay of elements, forms, and textures within the series captures the essence of this expansive space.
The focus of Akash is on the dissolving forms and the dynamic relationship between light, texture, and color. As forms dissolve into the background, they seem to vanish into the infinite, much like the boundaries of space itself. The fluidity of shapes and the merging of colors are intended to give the viewer a sense of motion, a feeling of floating through space and time.
Color plays a central role in this exploration. It has the power to shape mood and perception, and in this series, it amplifies the intangible qualities of space. I use blue as the dominant color, a hue that evokes the feeling of the sky, the air, and the infinite expanse above. The different shades of blue in the series represent the ever-shifting nature of space—the light and dark, the near and far, the known and unknown. It invites the viewer to reflect on the vastness of the universe, the spaces we inhabit, and those we have yet to explore.
In Akash, the elements come together to form a visual narrative about the essence of space itself. Through the dissolving forms and the subtle play of colors and textures, I aim to invite the viewer into a journey of discovery, where the boundaries between form and void are blurred, and where space itself becomes a living, breathing entity.
